Opens 8:30; ticket checks stop at 17:00. Closes 18:30 from Mar 16 to Nov 15, 18:00 otherwise. Allow about 1.5 hours each for the pit museum and the mausoleum park; a free shuttle links them.

Tickets & booking

¥120 covers both sites. Buy online in your name on the official website or WeChat account before you go; passports accepted, and the original is checked at the gate.

Metro Line 9 to Huaqingchi, Exit C, then bus 602 or 613, about 30 minutes.

A Ming city wall about fourteen kilometers around. Rent a bike and ride the full loop on top.

Adults ¥54, sold at the gates where you climb up. Bikes can be rented on the wall, ¥45 for three hours. Booking online with a passport: not yet tested.

Metro Line 2 to Yongningmen, Exit A1 or D1, then about five minutes north to the South Gate.
